I was in a relationship with a guy named , we'll call him Joe, for 7 years it wasnt great all of the time but it was ok enough for 7 years however I refused to marry him. We never had any children together. I have 2 from another relationship that he pretty much raised. We met when my youngest son was a little over a year old. Through out the relationship there was abuse and unforunately my oldest son saw alot of it so my oldest son and Joe NEVER got along. Joe's family was great to me and the boys they treated us like family from day 1. I was Joes first real love he had been in other relationships but it wasnt ever anything serious they only lasted a few months here and there and he never lived outside of his parents home other then with me. He took it very hard when I broke things off. He even offered to get help for his addictions. It wasnt drugs or alcohol. However, I just couldnt deal with it anymore.
